Where's Justin ?
The Cross Country Adventures of My Brother and his 'New'
Studebaker.
Not all trips go as planned - But that can be good!
Congratulations - Justin and Vini returned home from their travels on May 2, 2005 about 3pm. 25 days, 3463.3 miles and one great little Studebaker.
In March, my brother Justin purchased a 1953 Green Studebaker Regal Champion on eBay. 3 speed with questionable OD, 6 Cyl., 170 ci, 72,736 miles. One problem - car is in Los Angeles, CA and Justin lives in Rochester, NY. No problem - he will fly to LA and drive her (the Stude) back home. On April 7, Justin arrived in CA and met his new Studebaker and then began his cross country journey. The car had several initial problems but as usual Justin and Vini were optimistic. Justin enjoys working on old cars but had hoped most of his trip would be enjoyable driving. The trip was more exciting and enjoyable than planned. An overwhelming abundance of support came from the Studebaker Drivers Club where there was a constant discussion forum about this - "Cross Country in a '53 sedan? " Although the car was built in LA, lived in Idaho, it will now live in New York. I sure the car will be rewarded will lots of TLC and rebuilding. Many Thanks to all who helped make this trip a great reality.

"I'd
be in dire sad and discouraged straights if it wasn't for the help found here.
Just talking to the dedicated volunteers in Studebakerland helps me put it all
into perspective and keeps me from pulling my hair out. Thanks again and always
to everyone out there." Justin @ Day 14
