The Pool and the Cabin
- A story of an end and a beginning
It has been said that – “you shouldn’t own a poll. You should befriend a neighbor who has a pool”. Well I am no longer that neighbor. It was pleasant to inherit a pool when we bought this house, however the pool always had problems, needed lots of repair, was an expense, and the upkeep was time consuming. So after the past several years with little use, I had had enough. I decided to demolish the 25 year old SOB! While the pool was enjoyed for many summers and has provided many fond memories it is now gone. The fence has been removed and so was the swing set and the kid’s fort. This lumber was recycled and transformed into a small cabin in the back yard.
