This past December, Maris and Dad went to New Jersey and NYC to sightsee and join my Aunt Muriel for her 90th Birthday celebration.
This time of the year is a very difficult time to get away from work so we had to do this trip in three days - taking off on Friday afternoon and returning on Monday. Maris was able to take these days off from school and since it was convenient and inexpensive for her she wanted to join me for this trip. We flew into Newark on Friday afternoon, got a rental car, checked into our hotel and then headed straight to NYC - Top of the Rock, Empire State Building, Macy's and some Midtown shopping.
