Spring Break 2006
Arizona

Day 2

On day two, we relaxed and planned the rest of the week after checking the weather for the rest of the week. This is a Schiess thing that we do to get the most of our vacations. This wasn't really necessary in Arizona as the daily weather report goes like this: sunny, sunny, sunny, sunny......So we stocked up on groceries, visited some of the local shops and then spent most of the day at the pool. For dinner we went to one of my favorite places - Pinnacle Peak Patio for steak and beer!

My Sun Burnt, but No Longer Hungry and Thirsty Family leave Pinnacle Peaks Patio for a desert Drive home.

R.I.P.

Professional Brewer, Scott Yarosh, offers his Wheat Wine to a Sun Burned and Thirsty Homebrewer at Pinnacle Peaks - Thanks

Day 3

On our third day, after some shopping and lunch in town, we went desert-mountain hiking in the Tonto National Forest. Not like the forests that we hike in Indiana.

Cacti doing the wave!

After a brisk and brief rain yesterday, the cacti started to bloom.

Old men greeted us to the trails.

Don't climb these wearing short pants!

Time to get home.
